WiPowerOne is showcasing its 50 kW high-power wireless charging system for Purpose-Built Vehicles (PBVs), currently under development in collaboration with Kia, at the Kia Technology Pavilion at the 2026 Gwangju-Jeonnam Future Industry Expo.

The exhibition runs from September 2 to 5, where WiPowerOne is presenting its high-power wireless charging technology for Kia PBVs and highlighting its potential applications in future autonomous mobility environments.

WiPowerOne’s wireless charging system transfers power from a transmitter pad to a receiver pad installed underneath the vehicle when the vehicle parks over the charging pad. This enables automatic charging without cables or human intervention.

The 50 kW high-power wireless charging solution is designed to automate charging and improve operational efficiency for high-utilization mobility applications, including robotaxis, autonomous shuttles, and logistics vehicles.

Beyond vehicles, WiPowerOne is expanding its wireless charging solutions across the broader Physical AI mobility ecosystem, including AMRs and humanoid robots. The company aims to enable fully autonomous operations where autonomous vehicles and robots can operate and recharge without human intervention.
